Mental Health Support

At Pilgrim Academy, we have a pastoral team who are able to deliver low level play therapy and other interventions to support low-level needs. Mrs Senior and Miss Copley deliver play therapy sessions. Pilgrim Academy is also registered as an ELSA (Emotional Literacy Support Assistant) school and Mrs Farrell is our ELSA.

At Pilgrim Academy we work closely with Compass Go, our local mental health support team. Compass Go work with children to support their emotional and mental wellbeing. Currently, Compass Go come into schools to deliver workshops to whole groups as well as delivering small group support known as pods and, in some cases, will work 1:1 with a child.

We will also make referrals to Navigo, Young Minds Matter, when children require more intense support than Compass Go can offer.
