Year 6 Visit To Golf Centre Is Perfectly On Par
Footgolf made for a fantastic day out for our Year 6 pupils.
As part of our end of year celebrations for Year 6, we organised an after school visit to the Grimsby Golfing Centre for a game of footgolf!
Thirty six pupils and seven members of staff walked nearly two miles, whilst kicking their individual footballs around the 18 hole course. Most were extremely tired by the end, as some had also had their Sports Day on the same afternoon!
Though still in their own class bubbles, it was brilliant to be able to take the pupils on a trip to an outdoor activity – they all enjoyed it so much.
One of the footgolfing highlights of the afternoon was Mellissa Bullimore slotting home an amazing shot from about 40 yards on our final hole!
Year 6 Teacher, Mr Jordan Gibbon, who organised the event said: “Our Year 6 pupils are a fantastic group. We have all been so disappointed that they have not been able to enjoy the final year in the normal way. However, the footgolf event is part of a number of events we have planned for the end of term. Other activities include a full day of circus skills and an awards ceremony to celebrate the fantastic achievements.”
