Year 5/6 shine bright

The festive season came to life at our school this week with an unforgettable Christmas performance by our talented Year 5 and 6 students.

The event was a joyous celebration of holiday cheer, attended by many proud family members and friends who were treated to an afternoon of fantastic singing and festive spirit.

The children took the stage with confidence and enthusiasm, delivering an impressive line up of holiday classics that had the audience clapping and singing along.

The performance included some much-loved songs such as Sparkle and Shine, Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree, It Was on a Starry Night, Feliz Navidad, Away in a Manger, and the fun-filled Twelve Days of Christmas.

One of the highlights of the concert was the performance of Away in a Manger. The students not only sang the beautiful carol but also incorporated Makaton signing into their performance, allowing everyone in the audience to join in with the song's gentle, peaceful message.

It was a touching performance that showcased the children's commitment to making the holiday spirit accessible to all.

We are so proud of how the children embraced the spirit of the season and delivered a brilliant show. From the festive songs to the Makaton signing, it was a perfect way to celebrate the holidays.
