Victory for Pilgrim Boys Football Team at ESFA cup

On Thursday 22nd September, Pilgrim Academy Boys made their footballing debut for the season in the ESFA cup!

The team were placed in a group with five other teams, all of which provided fierce competition and hard-fought games.

During the tournament, Pilgrim did not lose a single game, or even concede a single goal! However, as many of the games ended in a draw, Pilgrim finished as third overall place in their group, on goal difference.

The team played against William Barcroft in a challenging playoff for fifth place! Thanks to a goal from Taylor Sinclair and a wonderful save by Tommy-Jae Easton, they took a victorious win at 1-0.

Following his performance at the tournament, Tommy-Jae Easton has been given the role of captain after showing great leadership skills.

Pilgrim Academy are expected to enter many more tournaments this year.
