Harvest Festival celebrations!

As part of Harvest Festival celebrations, the children took part in a whole school assembly led by Reverend Julie who came to talk to the children about the importance of Harvest Festival.

She explained to the children that Harvest Festival is about helping those people less fortunate and the importance of sharing.

Chloe Steward in Year 4 said, “The assembly taught us the importance of sharing.”

Children and their families across the school have donated non-perishable food items to support the Immingham Food Larder.

Joe from Immingham Food Larder spoke to all the children about the charity CARE, explaining that the food will help others in need.

The student leaders then helped Joe to put the food in his van ready to take.

Jireh Otu in Year 2 said, “I liked knowing that the food was going to help others.”
