Children's Mental Health Week
'Place2Be Children's Mental Health Week’, shines a spotlight on the importance of children and young people's mental health.
It has since become a nationally recognised event, with hundreds of schools and colleges participating across England, Scotland and Wales, as well as hundreds of children, parents and carers.
The theme for Children's Mental Health Week 2023 was ‘Let's Connect’.
At Pilgrim Academy we recognise the importance of good mental health for children.
To promote this, children invited Grandparents and other family members to join them in class, followed by tea and cake in the hall.
Our local PCSO’s came in to read stories and listen to children read and Mrs Stamford and Mrs Sleight took children to the Kensington, to read to the residents.
Alongside these events, children took part in various class activities through out the week.
