Leavers’ awards and plaques

Celebrations took place at the end of term to mark a successful year for our Year 6 leavers.

Principal Rachel Clarke, addressing pupils and their families at the annual Awards Ceremony, said the children should be proud of what they had achieved.

"While individuals have won trophies, it's very important to emphasise everyone in the year has made progress and everyone has achieved in lots of different areas," said Mrs Clarke.

"We are very proud of every single one of you. There is a gift for all of you to take home to recognise everyone's success this year."

While some of the 13 trophies presented were for achievement and progress, others were for effort, and talents outside of the classroom such as the creative arts, sport. One award was for the overall contribution to the Academy.

Each child was presented with a plaque to remember their time at the academy.

Mrs Clarke said: "On behalf of everyone at Pilgrim, I'd like to wish you and your families all the best for next year and in the future.

"It has been a pleasure for us all to be part of your journey through Pilgrim. Thank you very much and good luck!"
